3. Working Principle

Induction motor is also called "asynchronousmotor", that is, the rotor is placed in a rotating magnetic field, and a rotating torque can be obtained under the action of the rotating magnetic field, thus the rotor rotates. The outer and inner structure of an induction motor the rotor is a rotatable conductor, usually in the form of a squirrel-cage. The stator is the non-rotating part of the motor whose main task is to generate a rotating magnetic field. Rotating magnetic fields are not done mechanically. Instead, an alternating current is applied to a number of pairs of electromagnets, so that the properties of its magnetic poles are cyclically changed, thus equivalent to a rotating magnetic field. Unlike dc motors, which have brushes or collector rings, single-phase motors and three-phase motors depend on the type of alternating current used.

Common fault check:

Listen to the sound and look for the trouble spots carefully during the operation of the ac asynchronous motor, if a fine "buzz" sound is found, and there is no change in the rise or fall, it is a normal sound.

The smell is used to analyze that the fault motor has no peculiar smell in normal operation. 6. Maintaining

  • Check whether the grounding of electric and starting equipment is reliable and complete, and whether the wiring is correct and good.
  • Check whether the voltage and frequency shown on the motor nameplate are consistent with the voltage and frequency of the power supply.
  • The motor should always be kept clean, and no sundries are allowed to enter the motor. Air inlet and outlet must be kept free.
  • Monitor power supply voltage, frequency and load current of motor with instrument. The voltage and frequency of the power supply shall conform to the data on the nameplate of the motor, and the load current of the motor shall not exceed the specified value on the nameplate.
  • Regular maintenance after motor operation, generally divided into minor repair, overhaul two. Minor repair belongs to general overhaul, the motor starting equipment and the whole does not make big disassembly, about once a quarter, overhaul will all drive device and motor parts are removed, and will be removed parts for a comprehensive inspection and cleaning, generally once a year.
