Gradual transition with rapid growth in the world economy. The rapid growth is decomposed into four sources:population/labor-led growth, privatization-led growth, industrialization-led growth andtrade/leader-led growth.,provided there were no political/military turmoil. These results arebased on the combination of historical, statistical and theoretical approaches, and on ourtheoretical analyses of the relationships among transition, industrialization, growth anddevelopment. We present stylized facts on transition and growth, and constructconceptual frameworks to match these facts. In particular, we show that a gradualism (bigbang) transition may result in growth and inflation (depression and hyperinflation), and afollower with sufficient (insufficient) social capability would catch up to (fall behind) theleader.

Within the context of European Union (EU) 300cc engine price in india and sustainibility in waste management, recent EU regulations demand 300cc engine price in india efficient and environmentally sound disposal methods of Municipal Solid Waste (MSW). Currently, landfill with its many drawbacks is the preferred option in the EU and many other industrialised countries. Within the waste management hierarchy thermal disposal especially incineration is a viable and proven alternative. But, the dominating method, mass-burn grate incineration has drawbacks as well particularly hazardous emissions and harmful process residues. In recent years, pyrolysis and gasification technologies have emerged to address these issues and improve the energy output. To keep the many players in the field comprehensively informed and up-to-date, novel and innovative technology approaches emphasising European developments are reviewed.

The incomplete pass-through phenomenon bears important macro-economic consequences for, e.g., the trade response to exchange rate changes, the symmetry of nominal exchange rate shocks, or the efficiency of monetary policy, and a number of papers try to estimate exchange-rate pass-through (ERPT) using macro or aggregate sectoral data. However, as incomplete pass-through is fundamentally the outcome of micro-economic behaviors, its empirical features should be studied at a highly disaggregated and bilateral level. Indeed, micro-based results are needed to understand the macro-based ERPT estimates, as these result from both a product-level ERPT and a composition effect. The determinants of exchange-rate pass-through are investigated within a theoretical framework where oligopolistic competition is allowed for. Empirical estimates show that controlling for the market power of exporters.

The aim of this paper is to assess solar potential and investigate the possibility of using solar water heating for residential application in Inland Norway. Solar potential based on observation and satellite-derived data for four typical populous locations has been assessed and used to estimate energy yield using two types of solar collectors for a technoeconomic performance comparison. Based on the results, solar 300cc engine price in india use for water heating is competitive and viable even in low solar potential areas. In this study it was shown that a typical tubular collector in Inland Norway could supply 62% of annual water heating energy demand for a single residential household, while glazed flat plates of the same size were able to supply 48%. For a given energy demand in Inland Norway, tubular collectors are preferred to flat plate collectors for performance and cost reasons. This was shown by break-even capital cost for a series of collector specifications.

Analyse congestion problem with emphasis on having a policy incorporating realistic solution for having affordable, accessible, reliable and acceptable mobility. It has been found that in Indian urban scenario, modal transport system must be capable of having flexible high carrying capacity with low space requirement. The other aspect is to have attractive public transit system which may lure people away from private transport to public transit system because traffic problem is going to only rise with population growth and development. This will put more pressure on road infrastructure which has substantial costs. A possible solution could be introduction of Light Rail Transit (LRT) on a large scale. Finally, an illustration of Bangalore city has been made to examine the benefits of LRT.

This review explains the potential use of the so-called "green coal" for biofuel production. A comparison between microalgae and other crops is given, and their advantages are highlighted. The production of biofuels from microalgae biomass is described, such as the use of algae extracts (e.g. biodiesel from oil, bioethanol from starch), processing the whole biomass (e.g. biogas from anaerobic digestion, supercritical fluid, bio-oil by pyrolysis, syngas by gasification, biohydrogen, jet fuel), as well as the direct production (e.g. alcohols, alkanes). Microalgal biomass production systems are also mentioned, including production rates and production/processing costs. Algae cultivation strategy and the main culture parameters are point out as well as biomass harvesting technologies and cell disruption. The CO 2 sequestration is emphasised due to it's undoubted interest in cleaning our earth. Life cycle analysis is also discussed. The algal biorefinery strategy, which can integrate several different conversion technologies to produce biofuel is highlighted.

Paving the Road to Algal Biofuels with the Development of a Genetic Infrastructure 271 Fig. 1. Algal process flow diagram with integrated industrial CO2sequestration. 2.1 Commercial applicability of microalgal biofuels As the name 'microalgae' suggests, the relative size of these organisms may seem unsuitable for generating massive quantities of biofuel on a global scale; nonetheless, microalgae offer many advantageous qualities for biofuel production, especially when compared to terrestrial bioenergy crops. The basic principle of generating biofuel from microalgae is to exploit these cells as biological factories, whose lipid output can be as much as 70% of their total dry biomass, under optimal conditions. While many species of algae exhibit the natural capacity to produce abundant amounts of oil for conversion to biofuel, a major obstacle in the commercialization of such a process lies in the scalability. Many exciting breakthroughs in algal biotechnology have occurred on the lab bench, but mass cultivation of algae is still associated with some of the most challenging problems.

The time series of gold price in the Indian market and the global consumer price index for the period of January 1985 to June 2013 are analyzed in terms of the multifractal detrended fluctuation analysis (MF-DFA). Multifractal variables, such as the generalized Hurst exponent, the multifractal mass exponent, the singularity spectrum, are extracted for both the series. Special emphasis is given on the possible source(s) of correlations in these series. The multifractal results are fitted to the generalized binomial multifractal model consists of only two parameters. Our analysis show that the multifractal nature of the Indian gold market time series and the global consumer price index series is due to both the long-range temporal correlation and the fat-tailed probability density function of the values. Surprisingly, the series are well described by the two-parameter binomial multifractal model used.

Forecasting of oil prices has always been a matter of great importance due to its influence in driving a country's economy. As a matter of fact, the petroleum industry is considered to be the biggest contributor in the industrial sector in terms of providing raw materials to the other industries and generating revenues. Due to the non-linear and unpredictable nature of the oil prices, a lot of forecasting techniques have been developed and used to check whether they are capable of forecasting the oil prices satisfactorily. In this paper, two widely used techniques, ARIMA analysis and GMDH Neural network has been used to forecast the prices of four petroleum products such as Petrol, Diesel, LPG & Kerosene in India for a three month period . The results obtained are compared with the actual prices for the above time period. It is observed that the overall accuracy considering all the four petroleum products shows promising results thus justifying them capable of forecasting the prices of the different petroleum products in India.

Factors increasing pass-through are the extent of foreign control and ownership, share of output exported and industry's share of exports in country's total exports. Athukorala and Menon find a low pass-through coefficient for Japan using a different definition of pass-through - 'total pass-through' (TPT). Accordingly, PTM is essentially a 'temporary phenomenon designed to buy time' until the firm is able to make appropriate supply-side adjustments. As the exporter's currency appreciates contemporaneously, the exporter, prices to market, by keeping the importer's price stable and varying his own margins. After a time lag lower input costs due to currency appreciation allow him to maintain the 'strategic' foreign currency price with less pressure on his profit-margin.

Mergers and acquisitions are those corporate growth strategies which are taken by the companies to position their business in top among their competitors. As a part of business strategy, these are those investment decisions which contribute various economic/financial or non-economic /non-financial advantages to the shareholders, customers and employees related to the firm. Business combinations through mergers or acquisitions, helps the companies to use their complementary physical and human resources that make use of their competence and brings competitive advantage of the company among the rest of companies. In the changing face of competitive business environment, companies in India and around the world are using this M&A as growth strategy. This paper investigates the stock price performance of manufacturing companies in India. For the purpose, one year before and one year after M&A is taken to analyse performance and know immediate impact of M&A.

The Government of India liberalized its economy , opening up the power sector to private participation. The existing Central Electricity Authority guidelines for Independent Power Producers (IPPs) are analyzed to obtain the net price of power and the internal rate of return for coal and combined-cycle natural gas power plants, under different assumptions of input parameters. The results show rates of return higher than the nominal 16%. An uncertainty analysis reveals the relative importance of various parameters. Problems with the existing guidelines are shown, providing insights for policy changes. Adoption of modified guidelines for IPPs which are more transparent are likely to result in more affordable tariffs, less delays and yet provide adequate rates of return for investors.

How fiscal deficits affect the performance of the stock market in India by using annual . The study makes use of Ng-Perron unit root tests to check the non-stationarity property of the series; the Auto Regressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) bounds test and a Vector Error Correction Model (VECM) for testing both short and long run dynamic relationships. The variance decomposition (VDC) is used to predict the exogenous shocks of the variables. The findings of the bounds test reveal that the estimated equation and the series are co-integrated. The ARDL results suggest a long run negative relationship exists between budget deficit and stock prices and do not show any significant relationship in the short run. The VECM result shows that fiscal deficits influence the stock price only in the short run. The results of the Variance Decomposition show that stock price movement in the long run is mostly explained by shocks of fiscal deficits.

We have analysed farmer's awareness about Minimum Support Price (MSP) of crops grown by them using a nationally representative data collected by NSSO, (70th round). The data revealed that only 23.72 and 20.04 per cent of rural agricultural households in India are aware of MSP of crops grown by them. Awareness was high for rice and wheat in states like Haryana, Punjab and Chhattisgarh. Using probit analysis we infer that MSP needs to be backed up by effective procurement coupled with extension efforts so that more farmers can take benefits of price support. We used Heckman selection model to explore the relationship between farmer's knowledge of MSP and decision to go for crop specialization. The widely cited criticism that MSP for rice and wheat had made farmer to allot more area to one of these crops (specialise) if the farmer is aware about it is tested in the study. But, empirical evidence rejects the null hypothesis that knowledge of MSP makes farmer leads to specialising instead of diversifying.

To satisfy the responsiveness of a supercharger, by fully opening a shut-off valve in a bypass passage upon clutch disengagement to restrain the generation of a intake-air resistance in accociation with the reacting of the supercharger, and by fully closing the valve upon clutch engagement. CONSTITUTION:Upon low load operation an electromagnetic clutch 8 is disengaged and therefore, a supercharger 7 becomes in a possible racing condition, and intake-air in an intake-air passage 4 passes through an auxiliary passage 11b in a bypass passage 11 since a solenoid valve 13 is fully opened. When the load of an engine 1 is increased, the electromagnetic clutch 8 is engaged to drive the supercharger 7 to supercharge intake-air. The bypass 11 is held in its fully opened condition even if the solenoid valve 13 in the auxiliary bypass 11 is normally closed unless the pressure of the main passage 11a becomes an abnormal high pressure.

Of British India, which draws from the Prices and Wages in India series. We only used the series mentioned in the Statisticalthat belong to present day India. The wages were for selected stations (i.e. cities) and are weighed per State by the inverse population of the city because in general there are higher wages in more populous cities while the countryside is far larger. Then the States were weighted for their population as in general middle India was somewhat more populous with higher wages. For 1800-1872 we used several sources, mainly gazetteers, historical memoirs and Divekar (1989b) to obtain unskilled and skilled wages for North, and Middle India.

A system and method that establishes and maintains pricing for participating vendors and an authorized buyer using a metadata-software application that provides a useful history of purchases and discounts for audit records. The system provides base prices and price discounts based on the average actual sale price of an item or service over a period of time. The terms of the averaging procedure, and the mathematical algorithms utilized to calculate "average" can differ from contract to contract and are defined in a way that buyers perceive as fair, reasonable and transparent, and vendors find acceptable. Using the system will confirm that the price paid for a commercial good or service is market-based, and that terms and conditions of the sale leverage volume-buying power, ensuring the best possible price and the best possible terms for all commercial transactions in today's marketplace.

The export and import function for India both at the aggregate (rest of the world) as well as the important individual country levels, using annual time series data for the period 1960-61 through 1990-91. It finds that the income elasticities of trade are significant and that this elasticity is significantly higher for imports than exports, implying the possibility of the worsening trade balance with the growth in economies. The trade is generally price inelastic but this elasticity is generally higher for exports than imports. The sum (absolute) of the two price elasticities generally exceeds unity and thus satisfies the Marshall-Lerner condition for the effectiveness of devaluation in regulating the trade imbalance. The impact of the 1966 devaluation is found significant more with regard to imports than exports, and the post 1980 liberalization policy has produced desirable impact on India globalization.

I examine the competition between online memory module retailers in a price search engine. A discrete choice model in continuous time is proposed to describe the price dynamics where the arrival of a retail or wholesale price change is assumed to follow a finite Markov jump process. The estimation results show that the change from wholesale prices, instead of competing retailers' prices, is the main driver for a retail price move. Based on the estimates of demand and state transition parameters, I calculate the optimal prices that maximize the profit from low quality memory modules. The optimal retail prices are 17 to 28% higher than the actual prices, implying the retailer might have set the prices for other strategic purposes. In addition, I show that dynamic pricing results in a higher retail prices than simultaneous, static pricing and thus dynamic pricing is beneficial to retailers.

Brand distinctiveness becomes an important concept in brand studies, however, few studies exist. In this study, online survey was conducted to identify contributing factors to brand distinctiveness and brand differentiation. In addition, the relation between brand distinctiveness and brand differentiation was investigated. A sample of 228 university students was participated and two TV commercials were taken from Effie awards. The commercials were shown to the participants and they were asked to complete a questionnaire, including open-ended and close-ended questions. The result indicates that brand distinctiveness is frequently associated with executional variable (Colors and brand name), whereas brand differentiation is often associated with product features, functions and benefits, but the correlation analysis showed that brand distinctiveness and brand differentiation are correlated. Implication for advertising and marketing professional and suggestions for the future studies were discussed.
