ATS01 is a small current soft starter with relatively few control functions. It is generally used in low power machinery.

working principle:
Soft starter is a novel motor control device that integrates motor soft start, soft stop, light load energy saving and multiple protection functions. It is called Soft Starter abroad. The soft starter uses three opposite parallel thyristors as voltage regulators, which are connected between the power supply and the motor stator. Such a circuit is, for example, a three-phase fully controlled bridge rectifier circuit. When a soft starter is used to start the motor, the output voltage of the thyristor gradually increases, and the motor gradually accelerates until the thyristor is fully turned on. The motor works on the mechanical characteristics of the rated voltage to achieve smooth start, reduce the starting current, and avoid starting overcurrent trip. When the motor reaches the rated number of revolutions, the start-up process ends. The soft starter automatically replaces the thyristor with a bypass contactor to provide the rated voltage for the normal operation of the motor to reduce the heat loss of the thyristor and extend the service life of the soft starter. , Improve its work efficiency, and make the grid avoid harmonic pollution. The soft starter also provides a soft stop function. The soft stop is opposite to the soft start process. The voltage gradually decreases and the number of revolutions gradually decreases to zero to avoid the torque shock caused by free stop.

Control principle:
The soft starter controls the output voltage by controlling the conduction angle of the thyristor. Therefore, the soft starter is essentially a step-down starter that can be automatically controlled. Because it can arbitrarily adjust the output voltage for current closed-loop control, it is better than the traditional step-down starter methods (such as string resistor start, autotransformer start Etc.) have more advantages. For example, starting a variable torque load such as a fan and a pump at full load, implementing a soft stop of the motor, and applying it to a pump can completely eliminate the water hammer effect.

The AC squirrel cage asynchronous motor is widely used in the dragging of mechanical equipment because of its simple structure, convenient control and high efficiency. Most of the mechanical equipment in civil buildings, such as fire pumps, spray pumps, domestic pumps, refrigeration units, etc., are AC squirrel cage asynchronous motors. When the building has a high number of floors or a large scale, the rated power of the motors of these mechanical equipment is usually large, such as the fire pump's rated power is usually between 55kW-150kW. During the starting process of these devices, a larger starting current will be generated, resulting in a larger voltage drop. Therefore, proper selection of the starting method has important significance such as reducing the power supply capacity and ensuring the reliability of the building power supply. The main function:
1. Overload protection function: The soft starter introduces a current control loop, so it can track and detect the change of motor current at any time. By increasing the setting of the overload current and the inverse time control mode, the overload protection function is realized. When the motor is overloaded, the thyristor is turned off and an alarm signal is issued.
2. Phase loss protection function: During operation, the soft starter detects the change of the three-phase line current at any time, and once a current interruption occurs, a phase loss protection reaction can be made.
3. Overheating protection function: The temperature of the thyristor radiator is detected by the internal thermal relay of the soft starter. Once the temperature of the radiator exceeds the allowable value, the thyristor is automatically turned off and an alarm signal is issued.
4. Measurement circuit parameter function: When the motor is working, the detector in the soft starter always monitors the motor running status and sends the monitored parameters to the CPU for processing. The CPU analyzes, stores, and displays the monitored parameters. Therefore, the motor soft starter also has the function of measuring loop parameters.
5. Other functions: Through the combination of electronic circuits, other interlocking protections can be realized in the system.
