Schneider Relay Model

A relay is an electrical control device, and is an electrical device that causes a controlled step change in a controlled quantity in an electrical output circuit when the change in the input quantity (excitation quantity) meets the specified requirements. It has an interactive relationship between the control system (also known as the input loop) and the controlled system (also known as the output loop). Usually used in automated control circuits, it is actually an "automatic switch" that uses small currents to control high current operations. Therefore, it plays the role of automatic adjustment, safety protection, and conversion circuit in the circuit.

A contactor is a special type of relay used for switching an electrical circuit on or off. Contactors and relays function in very similar way, with the main difference being the loads they are designed to handle. Contactors are used in applications with higher current carrying capacity, typically built for and used in 3-phase applications. Contactors are most commonly used with electric motors and lighting applications. Relays are used for lower current or low voltage switching, more commonly used in single-phase applications. A contactor joins 2 poles together, without a common circuit between them. A relay has a common contact that connects to a neutral position. As the largest selling line of contactors in the world, our TeSys product line provides high reliability with long mechanical and electric life. Select from a complete line of accessories for motor and load control. TeSys contactors and relays are available for both NEMA and IEC applications, and are certified by major standards around the world.

Relay is an automatic switching element with isolation function. It is widely used in remote control, telemetry, communication, automatic control, mechatronics and power electronic equipment. It is one of the most important control elements.

Used to pass intermediate signals in the control circuit. The structure and principle of the intermediate relay are basically the same as those of the AC contactor. The main difference from the contactor is that the main contact of the contactor can pass large current, while the contact of the intermediate relay can only pass small current. Can only be used in control circuits. Generally there is no main contact, because the overload capacity is relatively small. So all it uses are auxiliary contacts, and the number is relatively large.

Intermediate relay is divided into static type and electromagnetic type
I. Static type: Static intermediate relay is used in various protection and automatic control circuits. This type of relay is composed of electronic components and precision small relays, and is the preferred product for the replacement of power series intermediate relays.
2. Electromagnetic type: When the amount of excitation applied by the relay coil is equal to or greater than its action value, the armature is attracted to the magnet, and at the same time, the armature presses the contact spring to make the contact turn on, off or switch the controlled circuit. When the coil of the relay is de-energized or the amount of excitation is reduced below its return value, the armature and contact piece return to their original positions.

Schneider Relay Model

Intermediate relay structure: The coil is mounted on a "U" -shaped magnet. There is a movable armature on the magnet, and two rows of contact springs are installed on both sides of the magnet. In the non-acting state, the contact springs will hold the armature upward to maintain a certain gap between the armature and the magnet. When the electromagnetic moment between the air gaps exceeds the reaction torque, the armature is attracted to the magnet, and at the same time, the armature presses the contact spring to make the normally closed contact open and the normally open contact closed, completing the relay work. When the electromagnetic torque is reduced to a certain value, the contact and the armature return to the initial position due to the reaction torque of the contact spring, and are ready for the next work.

Intermediate relay: used in relay protection and automatic control systems to increase the number and capacity of contacts. It is used to pass intermediate signals in the control circuit. The structure and principle of the intermediate relay are basically the same as those of the AC contactor. The main difference from the contactor is that the main contact of the contactor can pass a large current, while the contact of the intermediate relay can only pass a small current. Therefore, it can only be used in control circuits. It generally does not have a main contact because the overload capacity is relatively small. So all it uses are auxiliary contacts, and the number is relatively large. The new national standard defines K as the intermediate relay, and the old national standard is KA. DC power supply is usually used. A few use AC power.

Schneider small intermediate relay RXM A model introduction: the contacts are 2C / O (12A), 3C / O (10A), 4C / O (6A) and gold-plated 4C / O (3A). The sockets of the models are optimized, hybrid and separate types, which can be equipped with protection modules (diodes, RC circuits or variable resistors). All these modules can be used with the other two types of sockets except the optimized type. At the same time, the intermediate relay can be used for the metal and plastic protection racks of all sockets (except for the optimized type), and the 2-pole cross piece can be used for separate sockets, which can simplify the crossover of common points.

Description of Schneider RXM A intermediate relay: The test button can be manually changed instantaneously. The contact status can be divided into green and red. At the same time, the relay status has a mechanical indicator window. The detachable lock door can forcibly maintain the contact to be tested or maintained. This locked door must be in the closed position during operation. The RXM A relay status LED indicator depends on the model. It can be removed from the label (mounted on the relay body), the mounting groove of the rail mounting accessory or the panel mounting accessory. The toothed surface of the relay pin facilitates insertion and removal.

Schneider universal intermediate relay RUM model introduction: round pin or flat pin 2C / O (10A), 3C / O (10A) and round pin gold-plated contacts 3C / O (3A), the socket model can be divided into mixed And separate type, can choose to install the protection module (diode, RC circuit and variable resistor) or a timing module, all modules can be universally used in all sockets, and the intermediate relay RUM can be used for all metal protection clips of sockets, The two-pole cross piece on the separate sockets simplifies the crossover of common points.

Description of Schneider RUM intermediate relay: The test button can be manually changed to instantly change the contact status and displayed in green and red. The status of the relay is viewed through the mechanical instruction window. The lock door can be removed to force the test to be held. Or a contact to be maintained, but if this lock door is in operation, its position must be closed. Similarly, the status LED indicator of the relay depends on the model, and the label can be removed (installed on the relay body). The pins have a toothed surface to facilitate insertion and removal.

Thermal relays are mainly used for overload protection of electrical equipment (mainly motors). Thermal relay is an electrical appliance that works by the principle of current thermal effect. It has an inverse time-lapse action similar to the allowable overload characteristic of a motor. It is mainly used in conjunction with a contactor to protect three-phase asynchronous motors from overload and phase failure In actual operation, asynchronous motors often encounter overcurrent (overload and phase failure) caused by electrical or mechanical reasons. If the overcurrent is not serious, the duration is short, and the winding does not exceed the allowable temperature rise, this overcurrent is allowed; if the overcurrent situation is serious and the duration is long, it will accelerate the aging of the motor insulation and even burn the motor. A motor protection device shall be provided in the motor circuit. There are many types of commonly used motor protection devices. The most widely used is the bimetal thermal relay. The bimetallic thermal relays are all three-phase, with two types of phase-open protection and without phase-open protection.

Model and structure of electromagnetic relay:

The main role of the Schneider Electromagnetic Relay Zelio Relay series is to double the number of input and output contacts, or for logic processing control. The number of switching contacts it can provide is between one and four, and it can be said to be a type of interface type, small, universal and power type electromagnetic relay with a maximum of 30A. Such relays can help reduce the size of electrical cabinets and improve the reliability and stability of machinery and equipment. Schneider electromagnetic relays can be combined in small modules. They are different from other relays in that they are formed in a thin sheet type.

Among them, the RSL model of Schneider electromagnetic relay designed for miniaturization can provide pre-assembled sets of models, and the socket voltage width range selection: 12 ~ 230VAC, standard and low capacity contact selection. At the same time, the socket has an integrated reverse polarity protection circuit function. For relays required for high breaking capacity or low current applications, the power and relay status are displayed by LED indicators. In terms of installation or removal, the electromagnetic relay can replace the lock / unlock lever of the relay in the slot, simple DIN rail installation and common connection accessories, and the socket can be connected with screw terminals or spring terminals.

Designed for reliability, Schneider electromagnetic relay RXG models can provide coil voltages ranging from 6 to 110 VDC and 24 to 230 VAC. This relay has the selectivity of different requirements such as test button, LED indicator and transparent cover, and adopts one-button test button interface relay when installing and using. The Faston pin can be installed quickly and safely. The width of the electromagnetic relay is 16mm, which greatly saves space in the cabinet. At the same time, the relay can also choose to use a diode, a diode with LED, a variable resistor with LED, and an RC circuit. The protection module is extended.

The last is the Schneider electromagnetic relay RXM model designed for automatic control. The contact selection range includes 2CO, 3CO, 4CO, the control circuit voltage range is wide, and there are different types of sockets. When in use, it has a single-step lockable test button, a mechanical indicator window for contact status and an LED power-on indicator. The electromagnetic relay RXM model uses a spring connection socket (no screwdriver is needed and the wire can withstand a pulling force of 20Kg), which can save 65% of the wiring time. The socket is suitable for DIN rail and panel installation, direct DIN rail installation or Flange adapter for installation.

Schneider Relay Model

As a control element, in summary, the relay has the following functions:
1) Expanding the control range: For example, when the control signal of the multi-contact relay reaches a certain value, the multi-circuit can be switched, disconnected and connected at the same time according to different forms of the contact group.
2) Amplification: For example, sensitive relays, intermediate relays, etc., with a very small amount of control, can control very large power circuits.
3) Comprehensive signal: For example, when multiple control signals are input to a multi-winding relay in a prescribed form, after comparison and synthesis, a predetermined control effect is achieved.
4) Automatic, remote control and monitoring: For example, the relays on the automatic device together with other electrical appliances can form a program control circuit to achieve automatic operation.
