India is facing colossal energy paucity nowadays. Most of the energy comes from conventional sources. As these sources are limited, renewables can play a pivotal role. Among them, solar energy is more convenient to use and available in huge amount. PV cells (Solar panels) are used to convert this energy into electrical energy. But, as the sun is not fixed at a particular place, the conventional fixed solar panels cannot generate optimum power. Here, in this paper, a design methodology of a single axis Arduino based solar tracker has been presented. It consists of a DC geared motor, Arduino microcontroller board, an RTC and mechanical structure comprising of a gearbox and supporting structure. Geared motor is used to steer the panel along the direction of the sun while RTC, to feed the present date and time. The aim of this project was to develop a low-cost optimum power tracking prototype for the solar panel. It is seen that power extracted by this method is 20% greater than that of conventional fixed solar panels.

In country like India demand of energy increases with increase in population so the use of renewable and natural sources of energy like wind energy, tidal energy, solar energy etc is the need of time in country. In this paper we present development and experimental study of two axis automatic control of solar tracking system using Arduino. In hardware development five light dependent resistors (LDR) has been used to sense and gather maximum solar energy. Two permanent magnet DC motors are used to move the solar dish according to the solar energy sensed by LDR. In software part we design a controller which will move the collector dish to track the sun. The controller uses LDR sensors as input and permanent magnet DC geared motors as an output. LDR are used to sense the intensity of light and generate the signals which will be further processed by ATmega328 microcontroller. Microcontroller executes the algorithm and gives control command to motor driver.

The potential to use solar photovoltaic system for industrial processes reduces the environmental impact of burning fossil fuels. Geographically, India is in tropical region placed in Asian continent and receives solar energy equivalent to 5000 TkWh/year, which is more than the current total energy consumption of the country. However, the awareness to exploit the solar energy for industrial uses is very limited. Leather making is an energy intensive process. The electrical input used in wet tanning process is about 15-20% of total energy consumption for the production of wet finished leather. In this context, harnessing solar energy for tanning operation is the best option. The objective of this study is to run a rotating tanning drum continuously using SPV power for wet processing. A prototype Solar Photovoltaic (SPV) power plant was set up along with tubular lead acid battery as energy storage to run the tanning drum with geared motor assembly. Several tests were carried out effectively and efficiently using SPV energy with 50-100% solar fraction throughout the year.

So, is Honda content to let its Indian JV lead the Indian charge, with the 100 per cent subsidiary just filling in a flank? Hardly. Yukihiro Aoshima, Chief at HMSI-and the pointman for all Honda ventures in India-may not say it loud and clear but sources at HMSI reveal that the 996,290-million yen (Rs 41,000-crore, for motorcycle operations) Japanese giant's avowed goal is, with its two Indian affiliates, to capture three fourths of the Indian market in five years, which will be all of 10 million two-wheelers by then. Assuming that Hero Honda hangs on to its 50 per cent share till then, this will mean that HMSI could be doing sales of at least 2.5 million by 2010. That would guarantee HMSI a clear #3 position in the two-wheeler stakes, if not the #2 place. To be sure, thanks to its heroics in scooters, HMSI has already emerged as India's fourth largest two-wheeler company, behind Hero Honda, Bajaj and TVS. In the four years and a bit that HMSI has been around it has sold over 1 million units and has a 8.3 per cent share of the overall two-wheeler market, which is more than the share of Kinetic.

The green energy also called the renewable energy, has gained much attention nowadays. Among the renewable energy solutions, solar energy is the very vital source that can be used to generate power. Electricity from the sun can be converted through photovoltaic (PV) module. The efficiency of solar module depends on sun intensity, if the intensity is more then efficiency is more. Since the position of sun continuously changes throughout the day, the intensity of sun rays is not uniform on PV module. So, for getting more sun rays on PV module solar tracker plays a much vital role. A solar tracker is a device for operating a solar photovoltaic panel, especially in solar cell applications and requires high degree of accuracy to ensure that the concentrated sunlight is dedicated precisely on to the power device. This paper describes in detail about the design, development and fabrication of two Prototype Solar Tracking Systems mounted with a single-axis and dual-axis solar tracking controllers to generate 10.3 volts, 1.5 watts capable of charging mobile batteries.

The food processing machinery and, more specifically machine for producing boneless comminuted meat from raw fish fillet. This machine is of belt and drum type meat bone separator designed for small scale fish processing in a continuous mode. The basic principal involved in this machine is compression force. The electric geared motor consists of 1HP and the conveyor belt has a linear velocity of 19 to 22 m min−1, which was sufficient to debone the fish effectively. During the meat bone separation trials an efficiency up to 75 % on dressed fish weight basis was observed and with a capacity to separate 70 kg h−1 of meat from fish at the machine speed of 25 rpm. During the trials, it was demonstrated that there was no significant change in the proximate composition of comminuted fish meat when compared to unprocessed fish meat. This design has a greater emphasis on hygiene, provision for cleaning-in-place (CIP) and gives cost effective need and reliability for small scale industries to produce fish meat in turn used for their value

In today's world of technology and due to speed running industries, automated machine is increased in this globalised world. Over the years, the demand increases for high quality, greater efficiency and automatic machines.Method of Geared Motor India with Permanent Magnets. Generally, manufacturing industries keep manufacturing same models with little variation in height, colour, weight, shape. And here sorting plays an important role. In such cases industries can't bare human errors for sorting these products. Thus it become necessary to develop Low Cost Automation (LCA) for sorting these products in accurate manner. Industrial automation mainly focuses on developing automations having low cost, low maintenance, long durability and to make systems user friendly as possible. And controlling various machines like different motors at the same time become a difficult task. Finally, here we have developed a LCA system for Multi machine operation and sorting the light weight objects on the basis of height variation using DC geared motors along with induction motor and stepper motors.

Vast amount of energy is available within the core of sun. The energy that is received from sun in an hour is more than that is consumed by us in a year . If human race is able to capture even 1% of the total energy which sun delivers then we can cater the need of our race for decades. Efforts are continuously being made to capture as much energy as we can in order to store most of the energy which se are getting. In this paper a device called solar tracker has been discussed.
