We are a Company based in UK and USA manufacturing Fire Fighting systems for shipboard use on such as Fire Boats, offshore supply vessels and Tugs.
As part of our systems we supply centrifugal pumps which are driven in many installations off the ships main engines via speed increasing gearboxes .
We are currently reviewing our gearbox supply and ask if you can manufacture such gearboxes with certification by Marine classification societies such as Lloyds, ABS, DNV. CCS etc.
The gearbox should be as compact and light as possible.
Typical power range transmitted through the gearbox would be 500-900kw to start with, but some applications could much higher.
Typically these boxes would have input speed between 750-1000 rpm dependent on engine and pump speed nominally 1800 rpm
A clutch is required to isolate the pump drive when not needed , this can be within the gearbox which is ideal but we can also examine an external electric clutch for which we have a source.
At this stage can you advise if this could be within your capabilities.
